Book-Of-The-Week: Billy's Bucket

Our book of the Week is "Billy's Bucket." Billy, a smart and curious boy, want's a bucket for his birthday. His parents offer him every other kind of present a school-age student could want, a bike, a new computer game,  or new shoes. Despite this, Billy only wants one thing, a bucket. His parents take him to a bucket warehouse to pick the perfect one. Billy finds one that is full of sea creatures. In fact there is a whole Ocean of fun in there! Billy tells his parents, but they don't believe his bucket is special.  One day, his dad decides to use the bucket to clean his car and he gets a very fishy surprise!  Written and Illustrated by Kes Gray and Garry Parrsons. This book is great for sequencing and prompting creative writing. Target grades for my students are grades 1-4, but can be used with younger ages as well.
